Just replaced our old carver 3 water system with a truma ultra rplacement, it fitted exactly, had to drill new holes, but compared to struggling with the tiny twist/swivel attachmet posts I thinkl that was minor!!
Question, resealed new unit in and to remove the excess sealant from behind the door flap hinges I need to remove the door flap, anyone know how to do this? I don't want to do it wrong and break the plastic. (not pin hinge type)
Which Truma inlet did you fit, the standard or filtered version? I recently changed an older Crystal II inlet to a standard Ultraflow and fortunately removed the cover before fitting, however I have since removed the lid without issue.
Having slightly opened the lid, I found it 'eased' off the hinges by gently applying upward pressure; it was helped by the fact I'd already removed it so knew how it fitted.
If you look to see where the slots are in the lid, which obviously marry up with the main body to creadt the hinge, you'll see the best position to put the lid into to clear the base. The plastic isn't too solid, so should ease off fairly easily.
