we changed ours for a longer one, and whilst at it also got a pneumatic tyre
as we have a motor mover the tyre makes it easier on grass and gravel as well as getting across the slight trip hazzard that is supposed to be a dropped kerb on our drive.
the extra length means i am less likely to have to stop and adjust when i need to get that extra height at the nose to level off....so less faffing with raising and dropping the supports to adjust everything.

a trick i learned years ago with pneumatics is to put a block under the post once you have set-up...i use a short piece of fence post. So the tyre is only ever on the ground when i'm moving it. Ours is 2 years old, and still looks as good as new.
this gives 2 benefits to save the tyre
1-you dont suffer the bounce at the front of the van since you have a "soft" tyre
2-you dont incur any specific flat spot or pressure point on the tyre to wear the walls of the tyre out.

Pnuematics are shockingly made in my experience. Have reverted to solid because although more prone to digging in etc, at least its always round.
Problems with pnuematics appears to be the seam between the 2 flanges that make up the wheel. The inner tube just can't take hte stress of the valley, and keeps bursting.
