my cold taps dont work in kitchen and sink but shower ok can i change the switches or have i got to replace taps van in question abi award transtar pre 1990
If they are micro switches you can replace them but it's a bit of a fiddly job to do as you need to be a contortionist really to be able to get to the switches as they are directly under the tap behind the sink and wash basin. I haven't got micro switches on my caravan, it's a pressure switch so the system is different but I have briefly read about micro switches in the Caravanning Handbook by John Wickersham. This is where I got the information from so hope this helps with your query as I know that you don't have to change the taps.

< I think the word you are looking for is contortionist, extortionist if he is overcharged for the micro switches
corrakid: Well spotted, you are quite right. I don't know what dictionary I got extortionist from but I have edited now and entered the correct word....contortionist. Thanks.
