On site at the moment (no hook up) and the fridge has stopped working on gas. Thought it was a fridge problem at first but then realised the hot water heater isn't working either.

Manual says it might be air in the gas pipe but I've tried switching both the fridge and water heater on and off but no joy. The gas bottle is half full, the oven works fine and the battery is ok (lights all work etc).

Any ideas what the problem might be?

UPDATE: the water heater works if the fridge is off. Switch the fridge on and 10 secs later, the water heater goes off. Note, the fridge worked on gas 4 weeks ago.

Is the cooker gas flowing.
Have you turned any gas supply taps/valves off recently.
Try another bottle of gas maybe.
Faulty regulator
I'm no expert but these are initial things i would check.

Yup, cooker fine, so can't be gas delivery, can it? There is a tap for the fridge but its in the same position as the cookery tap, so presumably open.

But would the cooker still work if that was the case?

Hi

Sounds like a regulator issue to me.  Are you using rubber hoses, or stainless steel?

If former you may have oil build up (a common problem) that over time will block/damage your regulator.

Ben.

In the dealer at the moment and they reckon it's the circuit board on the fridge - they can see power to it but no signals (to the igniter, I guess) out of it. Also explains why it stopped working on mains as well.

Bad news: £180 for a new one. Plus labour.

Good news: fridge still in warranty and Dometic have agreed to pay for it, parts and labour.
