Am sure this has been covered before, but on our recent trip to windy wales i managed to put a slight bend in one of our bradcot easy 3 slide poles, with the result being me unable to fully collapse the pole. I have looked on the bradcot website and they wont £30 to replace the pole, is it possible to straighten the pole? and if so any tips on the best way of doing it.
I'll keep on eye on this thread with interest.
I too have a Bradcot with a slight bend in one of the poles and despite all efforts, neither I or an assorted team of colleagues in our engineering base/workshop have had any success in straightening the pole.
Your local dealer may be able to offer you a cheaper replacement option. Campbells of Preston have a selection of 2nd hand awning poles in their awning section. I was able to buy some fibre glass poles for my Bradcot awning from them at MUCH LESS than the new price.
We too had the same, it wouldn't push together tight and had to pay £30 for a new one. We did however buy it from a dealer who actually didn't sell bradcot awnings but did sell spares so we didn't have to pay the postage by ordering on-line.
I have to opposite problem, poles are straight but the plastic gripper devices have cracked on two and slipping on another two. Has anyone changed them for new devices? Is it easy to do and is it effective at solving slipping? If anyone is binning ploes with servicable grippers please think of me
