Recently been on a long trip 2,500 miles and noticed before the end of the trip a creaking noise from the tow ball,i have a Alko Stabiliser,is this a sign of worn pads of something more sinister? The noise appears to go after a nights rest and only starts up again after towing for 50+ miles.Any ideas ?

could just be dirty.try a good brake cleaner spray and wipe clean.
