i am going to re seal my flue in the roof next weekend.
I have seen many items for sale and different advice.
Silka flex 521
Carafax Sealant IDL 99
mastic sealing tape.
I am thinking of using a mastic sealant tape plus either the silkaflex or idl99.
I have seen comments which advise me not to use silkaflex due to the adhesive properties is very difficult to femove if required.
thanks
graham

Hi again, carafax idl99 is really messy to deal with and dries with an off white colour. Have used Sikaflex for about 8 years on van and it is still as good as when it was first done so I dont think you need to worry about removing it.........

Sikaflex 221, not cheap but good stuff. Have never had to remove anything sealed with this but I only use it as a beading and let the mastic tape do the rest so dont think it would be a problem, good luck Keith...............

Sikaflex is permanent, you can only remove it by cutting with a sharp knife. It depends how old the caravan is. If you think this is the last time you will be repairing it then Silkaflex or other polyurethene adhesive/sealant is the stuff to use.
