The Propex compact 1600 heater motor seized so decided to update to more efficient newer model.

I ordered a Propex HS2000 to replace it & phoned Propex to check that the vents are in the same place, which they assured me were and that it would be a straight swap.

Well the're not! Had to drill another hole then I found out that I needed an adapter to join 1/4 inch gas pipe on old van to 8mm (5/16th) on new unit.

Was quoted £33 by caravan shop for adapter!

Any idea where I can get connection adapter at a more reasonable price?

probably your local plumbing shop i think you can get thick olives that convert the size failing that ebay or a hydraulic supplier i dont know where you are or i might be able to help
