hi all ,

i turned the cold water tap and it clicked and now turns freely without anything.... luckily the water isnt coming through so if something has snapped at least it appears to be shut off....  is this likely to mean a new tap (hot and cold tap unit) or is this fixable in another way... didnt want to experiment before asking you guys so guidance would be much appreciated.

thanks Michael,     i'm guessing that will mean a new unit then.... we dont use the shower taps at all and they seem the same in appearance... is it possible to swap a cold tap over from there do think ?

had exactly the same problem yesterday!

Pull the tap top upwards carefully and it will come off

In the middle is a shaft, mine was sheared and actually stayed in the unit - poke with the bradawl and it came out - cost me £10 (cheaper on ebay)  for a replacement tap top and shaft, just pokes back in (i got mine from a onsite caravan shop so must be pretty easily available)

If the shaft is stuck, just undo the tap at the top (there is a hex fitting just under the plate - just unscrew it) don't need to undo the whole unit

mine is the elegance unit, check yours first!

(mine is also beige, so I swapped the old tap cover for the old one as replacement was a white one)

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it. But even some days it doesn't feel like its worth chewing through the leather straps
