believe a bucket of hot water will make it softer.the handle of a tablespoon helps a bit,rounded.------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Just replaced all mine, I used a plastic tool known as a putty stick as it will not mark the paint if any slipping occurs. Bucket of hot water helps, I did one side when the sun was shining [not often] quick and easy, I had to heat the other side infils to make fitting easier.

just soak it in a bucket of hot water and then use an old credit card/storecard to ease it in it should take about 5 mins max
