Yes, ok for you but I know people who couldn't fit a hat on their own head! I don't take on anything any more.

Provided you know what you are doing all will be fine.   But if you do not have the skill or the confidence then that is a different matter.  I know plenty about the human body, but I think now and again I may need to go to the Docs.

Many people who have motor movers fitted, do so because their health no longer allows them to shove their caravans/FC's about safely and many of those, whilst having the skills necessary to do the job themselves, cannot because of their health.

I have a full workshop, all the tools and the experience to fit such an item, however health wise, my days of crawling about under a van are long past and I prefer to pay someone else to do such work.

If you think that somehow that makes me an inferior member of the human race, then perhaps it is time that one of us got out of the race.

we just had one fitted its ok if you have confidence and know about electrics and the like butif like us you dont you could do more harm than good .But as we are not in great health and do not have the knowledge ect its a good job there are guys that do fit them. May cost but will pay for itself in the long run .But good on you for being able to do it yourself

I worked with electronics for over 40 years. When both motors are drawing maximum load the battery voltage is pulled down,If both circuits are not equal the one with the longest cables will have the greater voltage drop, causing that motor to run slightly slower, therefore caravan will tend to keep going to the left or the right.Manufacturer states do not cut cables.

Considering the low gearing of the average motor mover and the short distances that it is likely to move, I wonder if the amount of drop in voltage to one motor is going to make a noticeable difference to its overall performance.

Unless you are actually moving your unit on a perfectly smooth and level surface, in which case why bother using the mover at all, I would suggest that the ground surface is more likely to turn the unit than any loss of power by shorter or longer cables.
