Hi

Just checking over the 'van for our little jaunt this weekend and the electric pump to the toilet (c200 I think) keeps running and as a result all of the water has flooded over the floor. Would appreciate any ideas on how to sort this out

Many thanks

Jan

Hi Jan, it sounds like the switch that powers up the pump is sticking on, there were a couple of other threads recently with similar problems but it was on a later model. Does it have a membrane type switch of some kind that you press to flush?

see repairs, sounds like a faulty reed switch ie.making contact when it should not.can not understand why its all over the floor unless the pump has split.

Is it a case of the pump staying on and therefore filling the toilet bowl and overflowing until the flush tank is empty?

C250 model has problems with membrane switch and is fairly easy to replace - see links to Thetford site above

Hi, sorry not to have got back sooner, lost the internet connection. If its not one thing it is another !!

We did manage to sort it.Not being technically minded we just took the fuse out, shook the wires a bit, fuse back and fingers crossed all seems to be OK.

Birder99 was correct in his assumption, the toilet bowl did overflow...well done. Have mopped up and packed the van ready for tomorrow...fingers crossed that it is not to wet this weekend, already had my paddle

Thank you all so much in offering advice, greatly appreciated

cheers
Jan
