I may seem a bit odd but I have three bolts which say my head IS screwed on the right way
sounds like the pump has siezed up or burnt out.first thing it does when you try to use it blows the fuse. give the system a good soak in milton overnight and could free up.if not take out pump and try to move it with a tiny screwdriver and lots of WD 40.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Tend to agree with Michael on this one, although I hate WD40 with a passion and would instead jam a piece of dowel into the impeller at the bottom of the pump and spin it up with an electric drill until it is running freely. If the pump housing is cracked or winding etc shorted on the pump then you will need a replacement. Before you do too much take the pump out and connect it directly to a battery to check if it does turn. if there is no movement when directly connected try turning the impeller with your finger and if it moves freely it is a sign that the pump is not seized and the fault lies within the electrical side of the pump which is when you will probably start looking for a new one. A split case is normally fairly obvious.

I agree with the last two posters. The impellor sticks and the switch is pressed so it blows the fuse. Check the fuse and replace it press the button and the fuse blows, but as anyone knows once you have checked the fuse and replaced it you never go back to it. This was the problem I had when I had the daystar. Take toilet roll holder out inside the van, lift the pump out give the impeller a twist and a bit of WD40 to lubricate it, drop the pump back in, replace the fuse yet again and check that it flushes. If it blows the fuse yet again then the pump needs either replacing r some serious TLC.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

This happened to me only last week, used a small screwdriver to rotate the pump now ok. :D
I found through the years when the impellor stuck in the fresh water pump it was time to change it as it was knacked, maybe better just to fit a new pump and be done with it.
