hi all.
just discovered a really soft wall in my bathroom, its about a couple of ft square down at tthe bottom near the sink, guess he sink could have been leaking into wall or maybe water coming in from outside but dosnt feel like normal damp, its not wet or showing thru, it feels almost like sponge to the touch but dry, if that makes sense, not quite sure what i'll find if i start digging, an ideas please?
It sounds as if the polystyrine insultion is holding the damp and the wallpaper is keeping it in.If you stand back in a good light you might see the wallpaper which is damp a slightly darker colour than a dry bit.It will feel spongy if you press it.
