Hi Folks

Our Abbey Freestyle has lay in carpets over a vinyl floor covering and we want to replace them.

I can get what appears to be the same carpet as originally fitted, but need the edges bound.

Has anyone had this done and can share the likley cost of getting the carpets edge bound?

I am in Edinburgh, so any reccomended "binders" would be very appreciated.

found a couple who fit carpets and will make you a runner and edge it.we got a 15 foot x 2 foot wide one that i fitted last week.they also have varoius sizes ready made now.cost ????

Thanks for the replies.

£1 a foot would be just about bearable, assuming that includes the edge tape.... you guessed I'm a tight Scotsman!

Saying your neighbour did it on their machine...was it a normal sewing machine, presumably with a special needle for carpets? if so, I could probably do it myself!

When we had ours done for our Bailey it cost £40 which was more than the carpet But local carpet shop did it...
