We`ve just been offered a cheap but honest Lunar Micron for the bargain price of £200 (Just about within are budget)
It looks quite solid and usable but the wooden flooring in the doorway is very soft when stepped on and the wall covering around the door way is very damp,
It looks like the wall paper is padded with foam??
But i could`nt see any plywood behind it i`m assuming the walls have a covering of plywood under the paper?
If anyone has any tips on how to sort these problems they would be gladly recieved,
I`ve read a few posts about damp repairs on this forum but have yet to find the information i require
If the wood is still intact (doesn't crumble away when touched) a delam. repair should be fine. Bending when stepped on is classic delam. behaviour. You could replace any rotten sections with new wood - but if it bends without breaking, then springs back it is still sound.
I've just bought a Lunar Micron 460-5... I've searched the name on this site and yours is one of the posts that came up...
How are you getting on with yours??
Ours is tired and needs some TLC, I'm not sure where to even start!
