Howdy folks, I'm having trouble getting my Cascade 2 to light on gas.  Visually everything looks fine and clean - Burner box, circuit board on the burner assembley etc,.  The green light comes on at the switch but nothing happens, no matter how long I wait.  I have checked the DIN cable for nicks and/or damage but all is well.

There is gas to the burner assembley, but obviously it's not able to fire up.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thank you for any help.

Does the red light come on after about 10 Seconds,

*  if so that means the Burner unit is responding with a fault on ignition, check gas, if ok unit possibly needs repairing  see

http://www.arelectronics.co.uk/cascaderepairs.htm

* if green light stays on indefinitely, either burner unit not obtaining a 12V feed, check fuses, cable & connections or possibly indicating faulty burner unit, see link above for repair service.

Howdy folks,

1992.  I've traced the fault to the switch.  Luckily I had a spare switch to try out, and it works fine.   The old switch looks A1, but I did find a pupae casing squashed between the PCB board and the casing, I'm left wondering whether this critter shorted out the PCB?

Thanks for your replies.

Texas
