Anybody know how to take the whole side window out of a 2001 Coachman Pastiche 520/4..I Have taken all the screws out holding the whole panel which holds the window blinds in..And it seems to me that you just push or pop the whole window out of the caravan..Is this true or is there some Hidden screws..I have a nice little leak on the outside top of the window frame..I have been told that the window frame rubber is worn..And will need replacing..So am I right, that you just take ot the Blinds panel and the whole window frame just pops out through the outside..

Have a look at Wizards caravan repair as this may help.

I thought that the set up was the same for each individual window whether it be front side or rear. The screws that you have already removed only remove the internal blinds but if you remove the two window stays first then push the window right open as far as it will go I think you will find a row of screws directly underneath the horizontal hinge at the top. When you remove these screws the complete window should peel away from the waterproof seal at the top. Your Coachman caravan is only 2 years younger than mine but I would have thought that the window fixings were identical on the 'Amara', 'Pastiche', 'VIP' and twin axle 'Laser'.

I shall check tomorrow to see if there is screws at the Top of the window..But from what I can see it is just one big square plastic frame, which looks like it is all pulled in tightly against the wall of the caravan, via the inner blinds panel screws..Its a pity I have not got a picture..

Sounds like a Dometic Seitz window. They are definitely held in by the screws through the inner frame/blind panel and nothing else, except sealant. Some may not have sealant as they come with a rubber gasket.
One on the right here;

I have checked the Window..And found that it is a totally different setup to the Coachman Amara caravan..Its a full square frame panel..Where is the Amara vans have one long strip at the top holding the window..So it sounds like I have a Dometic seitz type window as stated above..Thankyou for your reply..

I was at the caravan storage yesterday and whilst on site had a look at a Coachman Pastiche. The windows frames however differ somewhat to my Amara and see exactly what you mean about the frame being the same right round the perimeter of the window aperture which is black in colour. I have had a look in the Haynes 'Caravan Manual' under the section 'Removing and replacing an acrylic window' and this is what it states:  "Replacing windows is quite an easy operation on most caravans. It is especially straight forward when the mounting is on a flat surface but more involved if the window is seated in a deep, moulded recess. In the latter case, the aluminium moulding that holds the unit has to be eased away from from it's seating. Some types of fully-flush window units are more difficult to deal with and you should seek advice on removal procedures from the manufacturer. The photographs below show a typical replacement operation".

The 4 photos then shown are typical of replacing the style window as what is installed on my Amara so the only advice I can offer is to contact Coachman Caravans customer services aftercare on 01482 877405 and see if they can be of any assistance. Someone once contacted Coachman regarding the installation of an air conditioning unit and they were that helpful to the customer they actually sent out a blueprint of the roof structure complete with dimensions by post to them. Now that's what I call the ultimate customer service so it's worth a try giving them a call at least as they may be more helpful than you expected.
