hi can anybody throw light on adverts that state 97/98 2001/02 crossover, is the second date the year it was first bought,ex show model etc ?

Probably registered/manufactured on the first date but will be model year of second date as new years models usually introduced onto the market in the autumn of previous year ie regd/manufactured in Sept/Oct 97 but will be a 98 model year.
