Just a quick question about using the fridge on 240v, I can see I flick the fridge button to the plug icon. Do I need to switch the control panel on? The zig cf2000 has a switch with off or fridge/charge. I was thinking that this button was if the fridge was powered via the battery. Any suggestion how I should set this up to work of mains

what van/fridge for a start, they all work slightly differently, some need 12V to power the controls, some do not.

If it's an older type Electrolux fridge it should have either have 2 or 3 switches depending whether the fridge is operated by electronic ignition or not. The two main ones are a narrow red one (fridge power from towcar on 12 volt only) and a wider green one (240 volt mains switch). The fridge will only operate from a 12 volt supply when connected to the towcar via the plug and socket so the only remaining ways to power the fridge on site is by two methods, either by 240 volt mains or gas. All you need to do is flick the green switch on the fridge panel above the fridge door which should then illuminate and the fridge is then operating by 240 volt mains. There shouldn't be any other switch on the zig unit to connect as the fridge operates totally independently. If the fridge doesn't get cold then have a look at the main 240 volt fuses to see if one has blown at all.

Thanks, no green switches on fridge. What I have is on the left the gas controls, ignitor. On the right a switch and knob, knob for coldness 1-9 and switch has 3 options, plug, off, battery. I have it set now to plug. On my zig unit I have the mains switch which has the options off and charge/fridge. Should my fridge work if this switch is flicked to off?

I know this is pretty basic stuff but you dont give us much info to go on, for instance do you have a live 240v feed to the fridge? if not do you have power at another 240v outlet? if not have you tested your EHU

Yea, sorry about that. Wasn't able to check much over the weekend but I do have power at all the 240v sockets when ehu is plugged in. I'll have to take the control unit out during the week and see if the fridge plug at the back is receiving any power!!!! Go from there!

Thanks
