try:
1) Take off the front of the unit by undoing the 4 Xhead screws.
2) At the bottom of the row of mcbs, there should be some screws that hold the 'bus bar'. This connects the mcbs to the rcd. Undo these and drop the bus bar out.
3) Just behind where the bus bar was, underneath the mcb, you should see a small rectangular 'eye'. Put the end of a screwdriver in this and gently prize it down while pulling the lower part of the mcb forward. It should now release from the 'din rail' and lift out.
I think the OP is saying that there is something covering the screw heads on two corners of the enclosure. It's not very clear from the photo but the top left one appears to be a different colour.
If it's just a plastic cap I'd use a small flat blade screwdriver to prise it off - it doesn't really matter if it's damaged. It could also be that these screws have been replaced with a 'security' head type in which case you'd need the appropriate bit to undo them.
Are you sure it's 'nusiance' tripping and not a fault somewhere in the van's wiring?

I see what you mean now. Can't say that I've seen anything like that on anything that does not have an IP rating.
