Can anyone tell me where the leisure battery should be located in our 1980 Alpine Sprite? It was bought sans-battery and we can't seem to find where it should plug in?

In the absence of an obvious dedicated compartment, the only other place can be in the front locker.

in the older sprites if my memory serves me rightly it should go under the right hand front bench seat ,there should be a couple of wires there to connect to it ,to supply your 12 volt power .long time since i had one of these ,it was our first van back in the 80's

again if my memory serves me rightly ,you won't be looking for thick heavy duty wires ,something along the lines of twin core lamp wire would be it ,and red for positive and black for negative in those days
