Can anyone tell me if the exterior trim on a swift challenger 1996, is held in place by clips on the inside. Want to take it off and clean and refit it, on the outside, it's held by screws, but just wonder if it mayby clips onto a rail, or just the screws holding it in place. Thanks..

If you mean the awning rail, it is screwed to the van. But not sure what you mean by trim?

Is it the trim about waist height running along both sides of the van??

Yes Vango it's the trim round both sides. The mastic looks a bit grubby, so we wanted to remove it and clean it up, but not sure if its only the screws that hold the trim in place. Don't want to risk damaging it, just needed to know if its straightforward enough to remove. Thanks

My bailey was screwed and riveted. Don't know why. Can't see any logic for it.

Just removed a couple of screws and the trim comes away, in the process of removing it to clean it up. Thanks for the replies.

Hi jumping in on this thread

I have just purchased my first van a 1996 Swift Challenger 400SE, and both the trims as VangoMan02 describes, mine are a bit ropey now with some bit missing, can anybody suggest a source where I might be able to find and replace them, I contacted Swift Direct, but unfortunately no joy...
