When I have my grill in use I get smoke coming up out of the vent at the back of the oven. The smoke smells like paint or something.

This has been happening since the glass windguard broke and glass went everywhere, we do keep finding wee bits of the glass in around the cooker and grill, could this be what is causing the smell?

My hubby has taken the front panel off where the knobs are and we can see a metal heat reflector type of bag, the smoke looked as if it was coming from the back of the bag. Has anyone had this issue before or would you have any idea of what my next move should be?

Hi Nush, Is it the lid or splashguard at the side and is there any 'paint' on the edge, say, where the hinges fasten on? If so there may be a piece still in there and getting burned by the heat.

If it was replaced by a dealer I would take it back, if not for safety's sake I would get it checked out by someone suitable.

Worth getting checked out I think, could of dislodged something maybe when cleaning up the glass.
