Any quick fix ideas on a diy door for freezer compartment until I can justify spending £75 on a plastic door.

Cheers,
Joe

Can't help with the repair but I paid around £40 for my replacement and thought that was expansive, was a few years ago though.

Is it the door itself that's broken, or the hinge? you can buy the hinge pretty cheaply:

hinge

If not, what part of it is broken? Gorilla glue is good for mending plastic.

RM2262 does not have a hinge like that.

See the second photo door.

Yes it is the 2nd photo folks. The door is gone, vanished, disappeared, I wonder would polystyrene foam cut to size, covered with clingfilm and placed at the entrance to the freezer let me away for a bit. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

What could help is a piece of foamed PVC panel, used for many things, but relatively cheap to buy and will take a screw or you can bolt through.

If you're anywhere near to us (NN10 0JT) I can give you a piece for free, we've got a fair quantity left over from building the trailer.

You can get it from sign makers, also used in double glazing places for window sills and things like that.

It isn't shown in the manual for the 226* series, I've just checked.

I didn't think that the electric feeds were temperature controlled?

I'll be pulling mine out to clean the burner in the next few days, if nobody else can help, drop me an email.

Peter

Is it a big job to take it out to clean the burner?

That's a question I would like to know as well, I am new to caravaning and trying to get round to cleaning and servicing a few things. Have been trying to run the fridge on 240 and 12v but does not seem to be working. Does these fridges just pull out of the surrounding cabinet.

By the way have just joined this site its really great. Also have not been any where yet.
