I need to replace a 3 meter YKK awning zip. Does anyone know where I can buy one of these? Looked on Ebay but anything described as suitable for awnings doesn'y look man enough to me!
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

I have a zip on my tent which the hasp has come off one side. I intend to have a go at repairing it according to the link I gave above, which I have only just found. I have looked at the 'instant zips' before and you have to get the exact size hasp or it won't work and trying to find one the exact size is a problem. Also, they don't actually show you how to get the old hasp off. They show you a quick flash of some pliers and then the zip coming off but if you try to cut off a metal zip hasp it's almost impossible...need a pair of bolt croppers

Maybe this will help Bob if you get the part..click
I think it may be easier just to make a small cut in the zip material at the bottom, slide the hasp back on, then put either a safety pin or a big blob of glue below it to stop it sliding off again. Trying to unpick a zip from a tent and then having to get it sewn up again may be more trouble than it is worth, but interesting video thanks.
