hi all getting van out off yard earlier it caught metal rail and has put a hole in the side about 1 inch long any ideas as to how i can repair it please

How good do you want the repair to be? To make it waterproof, tape over with several layers of Gaffa tape until you can get a professional repair. If its an old caravan & you just want a diy permanent repair then car body filler that bridges gaps like IsoponP40 would do the job.

Depending on where it is I'd fill it (as above) then buy an oblong shaped reflector to stick over it.

Fill with isopon p40or similar car type repair filler, sand back and cover with reflector or sticker etc.
