Hi All,
As a vehicle mechanic, I am going to service the breaks on my caravan (Fleetwood Heritage), I know I must replace the one shot nuts and I was going to simply measure across the flats to determine the nut size. However, it got me thinking is there a chart or directory that links the one shot nut to the break drum number and links that to a make or models of caravan?
I would be grateful for info

You probably won't have a torque wrench that has the capability of tightening to the specific torque as it's not an specific wrench that can be purchased on the High Street. You need the right tools for the job in order to service the caravan brakes.
they are tight and really need 3/4 inch drive socket set.. i was just going to inspect and gave up on mine for fear of breaking my 1/2 inch drive bar..
Hi, its not the make of caravan that matters its the make of chassis i.e. alko bpw etc. look at cap covering hub nut should tell you. then just visit their web site and you,ll find all the info you need.
When I checked out my brakes I removed one nut and matched it up for two new ones at a caravan dealers/shop, I was fortunate to be able to borrow a high setting torque wrench from my then place of work

Machine Mart sell a Digital Torque Adaptor for around £40/£45, for use with a power bar and has a visual and beep sound when the correct set torque is met. The max torque setting is 390 Nm on the adaptor. I use mine quite regular.
