I am trying to source a B&B Trailer hitch in good order. The one I have is stamp dated 1972 so this is a long shot. I know that the company was bought out by AL-KO but I don't think they will have new parts for it. Does anyone have knowledge of this hitch? or knows of a supplier that I can try to acquire parts? Any information gratefully received.

Hi, why does it need a new hitch, if its because its loose on the tow ball it may just need an hitch spring set

Damper is knackered and the pawl button mechanism has disintegrated also a crack in the casing of the main body.

Hi, sounds like you will need to change the hitch then, visit www.coventrycaravanbreakers.co.uk. they specialize in older caravans. if they have what you need perhaps they could send it to you.

some scary prices there.. it may be best to replace with a different type of trailer hitch..

Yes if you can fit a more modern hitch assembly it would probably be better & you should get one secondhand off a breaker.

i rebuilt a large boat trailer a few years back.. the total cost was about a £1000 for all the parts.. the only thing original was the basic galvanized chassis..

wheels tyres axles springs hitch the lot.. everything new.. i think the complete hitch unit rated at around 2400 kg was about £250..
