My Husband and I went to see a few caravans again today and I have fallen for a compass rallye gt I believe 1999 model, she is perfect in every way just what we are looking for and I was ready to place my offer but before I took advice from you kind people on here and started to touch all the walls look in all the cupboards look behind things open vents etc to see if we could see any damp and she was amazingly clean and very smart, but then I came to the front right hand side of the van and the wall was moving when touched like it wasn't attached properly she was dry by her windows and wasn't the site of damp but she was loose then I opened up her cupboard to where her electrical fuse box is and against that space she was damp, we went outside and touched the wall in the same place and she was moving again it looked like the seal to the outside fuse space had came away a little bit and this is where the water had gotten in, hence we didn't place an offer we left her, I don't know every much about damp but instinct tells me electrics and water don't mix, could this be a easy fix or is she just a accident waiting to happen,

Walk away as there are 100s "Good" vans instead of the worry of repairing.

Buy a damp tester say from BnQ around £3o and, learn how to use it as this is an essential when viewing vans.

Dont take people on their word, its your money and you might buy a lot of heart ache.

This also will help...Damp testing
