hi all
i am servicing my brakes but cant work out how to remove the drum bearings [BPW eco] all the circlips are out, there is some side to side movement on the bearing. could not find the right info on the net but found Alko similar drum that says do not press out the bearings as this may damage the bearing or drum. i do not want to beat them out if it is the wrong thing to do. any help? thanks

with an alko drum the idea is to replace the lot.. drum and bearings..

but bearing outers are always a tight press in fit.. they need force to get them out..

I done my KNOTT brakes and bearing last year you basically need a bearing press to both remove and refit the new bearing or if no access you could beat them out but there is a very good chance you'll damage the drum.

thats what i thought, but i am used to dealing with bearings and to me the outer race [as it is visible] looks too thin, if that makes sense
