hi I wondered if anybody would know how I can get the top off to replace rubber seal it does say to put slider in opposite way half way and turn anti clockwise it will not budge it is the grey and orange cassette .

Yes they are very stiff the best way is to open slider and turn with both hands i'am afraid
I bought a fresh up kit which comprises of a new cassette, seat and lid some cleaner £79 99 saves all the messing about..
As Geoff says, they are very stiff.
You need to make sure the cassette is firmly secure so that you can get good leverage on the slider.

Hi Mandy, if you have any of the silicon spray used on the Thetford lip seal or similar stuff for lubricating the awning rail you could spray some around the edge of the fitting you are trying to move then leave it for a bit, with a bit of luck it will help release things.
