Hi, we have just bought our first ever motorhome today and brought it home this afternoon. We started to strip the interior of all material to enable us to wash it. Unfortunately we noticed some bubbling below the rear window and it looks like damp! We peeled one of the bubbles and the wood is spongy beneath. The area is not huge but enough to cause concern. My husband thinks it is due to a seal on the window but is there anything else we should be looking at? We are novices in the motorhome world but my husband is not afraid to get stuck into jobs himself. He is willing to tackle this himself to save some money but any advice anyone would have would be very greatly appreciated.
We did ask the seller if the motorhome had any history of damp and he said no, that it was lovely and dry. Lesson learned!
Many thanks in advance.
If you read wizard's site here you will get some repair tips. If you need a new window seal this place should have them but any large caravan shop should stock seals.
