 Yep - Disaster strikes.

All went well inside – panels back in now the window.

After much struggling got the new seal in.

Now for the window itself.

It’s a bubble type and had split into the two pieces, i.e. the back had separated from the front.

Got some advice, and stuck it back together nicely.

 Again nearly as much as a struggle to get the window into the seal, nearly there just one last push…..

Yeah you guessed. It shatters!!!!!!

OH lots of expletives!!!!!!

 How much for a new one!!!! Not short of £500

Its so expensive because it’s a fixed one, so large, and because its curved top and bottom.

Desperately need to find a second hand one or work out an alternative. 

I thought if I changed the rail above the front window to one like the side perhaps I could get a large window with the latches one a fix on of those in place?  But I don’t think that will work because of the curves at the front, going down and across.

HELP !!!

Anyone any suggestions?

i have gone through he list of breakers on this web site e-mailed most of those that have this, as yet nothing.  Next i will start phoneing.

give pontypool caravan breakers a ring they

have a shed full of windows or do as we did take your measurements

and look through the shed yourself. we found them very helpfull

had to replace 3 windows on our old van the middle front was not a normal one

but they had one  total cost of 3 windows £200 inc vat

they are at steadmans yard, garndifth, pontypool. not far from you
