I have a Dometic fridge which works fine on electric but not on gas.
The pilot will light and stay lit but the fridge does not get cold. I have cleaned the burner but still no good.
Am I looking at a new thermostat?

usually if a fridge is not perfectly level it will not work on gas. maybe burners need cleaning. Get a mobile caravan service engineer to look at it.

Cheers Gary for your reply,

I rang Jacksons Camping to enquire about parts and spoke to a very helpful man, he assures me that if the flame from the burner is a nice blue colour all is well, the flame will only adjust slightly when you turn the thermostat up.
Everything else looks fine so I'll see what happens this weekend and take it from there.

I get my parts from Jacksons also. You can usually show them something and they will have one or have an alternative.

It will take a while to cool on gas, The best check is the freezer box, You will feel the difference there before the fridge starts to cool.

As mentioned also, How level is it, I think its only a 5 degree tolerance to get the best from them.

Post 1997 licence holder?

Max tow weight = Cars gross laden weight + Caravans gross laden weight.

These 2 figures must not exceed 3500kg. And the Caravans gross laden weight must not exceed the cars UNLADEN weight.

Unless the manufacturer has set a lower limit.
