I have recently acquired a 2012 Bessacarr (Swift) 645 caravan. The vent fan does not seem to be working.
When the power switch is pressed the fan starts to turn and then the power switch flashes and the fan turns off. The vent is open (not fully).
Any ideas please?
There has been a lot of controller failures with them which they apparently have now modified. They are about £70. It has been mentioned quite a lot on the Swift talk forum.
Thanks for the information. That may well explain the problem. The caravan is just three years old too yet the vent in my 1998 year old Bessacarr which I have just sold is still working fine. Progress??!!
Thanks for the information, bad news as it may be.
Cab anyone tell me if Omnivent have now managed to rectify the defect before I spend money replacing the vent please?
I have experienced intermittent problems with this unit in the past. It turned out to be dampness on the printed circuit control board, either condensation or rain getting in through the open roof light. A little WD40 did the trick for me, but try not to overspray any onto plastic parts as they don't like it. Worth a try?
