Hi. I think my Zig DCU-3 unit is overcharging the battery. I have managed to wreck two over the past couple of years.

I have three questions.

Is the unit regulated? I can't see one in the circuit. I have minimal electrical knowledge and could add a regulator circuit if necessary.

Does anyone have any suggestions and/or circuit diagrams regarding regulating the output?

Does anyone have a service manual for the unit they would be willing to share. I have the owners instalation manual but would like a service manual in order to repair it.

Many thanks
Malcolm.

Hi Jeff.
Thanks for this. I already have that manual. What I really need is an automatic regulator circuit diagram which can be inserted between the charger and battery to stop it overcharging. I'm looking at some online designs.
