Hi Just wanted to share recent problem /solution with the flush on the Thetford C2 toilet.
Toilet simply stopped flushing ...Checked 3amp fuse
sited under wc, outside in cassette cupboard! easily visible and removable this was OK.
Removed pump, sited under loo roll holder cup!only 1x screw and pump lifts out.
Got small screwdriver and turned impeller blade on the bottom a few times ,it was a bit stiff, returned pump and hey presto its working!
I guess it must have clogged up with the usual black goo that appears from time to time. Added warm water and milton sterilising solution and is now a lot cleaner.
I would suggest trying this first before ordering new pump and switch (Like I did!!!!)On the bright side I now have spares!
Hope this helps someone!
Had exactly the same problem and used exactly the same solution Have now stopped putting any additive in the flushing tank as rumour has it that the 'pink stuff' causes the black goo.
Hope you don't mind me asking but I have this same problem ... I changed the glass fuse in the cassette outside and still not working but on the diagrams in the instructions it shows a different fuse (blade fuse?) and there isn't one of these visible in my cassette. Is this missing or should I try what you have done above do you think? The thing that's worrying me is a brown wire hanging down just under where I changed the glass fuse ... It makes me wonder if something is missing completely on mine ...
