I have a slight issue with my battery box compartment on my Sprite Major 6 (2010). I couldn't open it one day and we ended up damaging the catch. I got it repaired at great cost then realised that the problem is the electricity cable causing the door catch to jam. This happened again and I had to force it open. There is a tiny cut out at the bottom of the door for the wire but it is clearly not deep/wide enough. I have tried cutting a larger hole but the door closes INTO the compartment rather than over. I have tried looking into smaller cable, but I believe this is not possible due to voltage etc. Has anybody got any ideas how I can solve this without cutting a massive hole into the door?
