Hi all

I store my caravan at a farm but unfortunately it is next to a rail line so my caravan gets covered in black soot from the coal trains
My problem is because of this last year I had to give my caravan a really good wash and used traffic film remover,I now know that was not a good idea as it has took the shine of my caravan and left dull patches
I need your help as to how to restore the shine and get it back to normal,I know I shouldn't use T-cut so what's the best way to get the best results

My van was very unshinny (sterling Europa 525 2003). I used a swirl remover ( which is a very very soft type of cut) poorboys ssr1 and it got rid of a lot of oxidation. Put some good synthetic polish on afterwards (i used autosmart platinum). Waiting for better weather to put another coat on and top it with autosmart topaz which is an incredible sealant/polish. Note I have no connection with autosmart and merely recommend as I am personally very impressed with their products.

Make sure you mask off any faded stickers and do them first as they bleed a lot of colour. I didn't and the gold is now very tainted with blue, I have to say it makes it look less dated though!

You need to mop it with a machine, unless you have a lot of elbow grease.

G3 is a good cutter, as T cut is very mild.
Polish it with Auto glym then wax with Auto glym extra gloss (lasts longer than wax).
