Am replacing my outdoor socket unit , what sealant should I use against the outside of the van , kitchen / bathroom sealant ?

I would recommend using Sikaflex 512 Caravan Adhesive & Sealant for the outside of the van

I would also recommend puraflex pu 18. Three pound something a tube in toolstation.
