Hi all, i'm looking for a bit of advice on the above charger, i replaced the original failed charger with the Sargent charger a few years ago as with out any problems up until tonight.

I have had the van parked up outside my house for a few weeks hooked up to the electric with the fridge on ready for our first trip in a few weeks, went into the van tonight all was working fine so i decided to turn the fridge off as all was working well,plugged in my extension lead in to one of the sockets in the van so i could use the hoover for my car, the hoover came on but only briefly then would not come back on at all, now i have no 240v power inside the van, i can here something clicking in the vicinity of the charger, also no indicator lights on the charger.

any feed back would be a great help.

Might of already done it, but have you checked to see if you have power coming to your van through your hook up lead?

It sounds like you have just tripped out the mains supply either in the van or where your EHC is connected.

All sorted now, after checking all the obvious fuses and looking for any hidden ones, cursing, tutting and scratching my head and wishing i had never clapped eyes on it, i decided to try my other lead, hey presto all is now working now, all very mysterious, but thats caravans for you...thanks for the replies.
