OK. First trip out went pretty good a few issues raised but all in all after rebuilding the front of the van send replacing all the woodwork all was good. It did rain but no leaks whilst at the caravan site.
On the way home it was raining hard and driving at a steady 50mph. We arrived home to find some water (small amount) sitting on the front shelf just under the front middle window. Now I know I sealed the window well with new mastic tape and it never leaked on the site when it was raining.
The only place I can see it possibly getting in is at the join at the bottom of the rubber seal? Would this be because the wind has driven the water up and in through the join in the rubber seal? i have put the hose on the window but cannot see any leaks. Any ideas?
If it is the join can I just glue it together with some sort of rubber sealer?

Hi,
Leak sealing is a bit of a dark art ,have the same problem with my conservatory at the moment.Tight as a drum ,in high winds, heavy rain etc, bring the wind in from the east however ,its like a sieve.
I have just bought a product from the States,it's on Amazon called Rescue 911 (approx £15 ) and it seems to have done the trick sealing wise. Not had a real howler, but I am hopeful so far.
Give it a look on Amazon ,might be what you need.

Greg
I have traced the leak to the join on the rubber seal at the bottom of the window but putting a hose close to the window the way the wind would blow the rain whilst towing.
Any ideas on how to solve this. The rubber seal has the smallest of gaps at the bulb (less than 1mm) Could I glue it together or try some rubber tape to seal it?
This is only a personal view and others might have a better solution ,I would try some silicone sealant in the gap sometimes find the adhesives in some tapes attacks the rubber seal.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Greg
