I take it that the fridge has a switched electronic ignition to light the pilot light.
Have you had the fridge working on gas previously without any problems or is this the fist time of trying to operate it by gas?

If the electronic igniter is not cutting then you would normally hear a continous clicking noise which is the sound of the igniter sparking. If this is the case then there is a module that controls the igniter which has probably malfunctioned which it did on my previous 1992 model a few years ago but mine packed up altogether. The location of the igniter module was on the top of the fridge directly behind the dials on the left and to gain access to it you need to be able to tip the top of the fridge forward and slightly out (no need for complete removal) so you need to release the 4 security mountings to do this. On some of the the earlier fridges the mountings were located at the front but on the later fridges they are located each side inside fridge which on a Dometic is the likely place they will be.
The picture in the link below is for illustration purposes only but just gives you an idea what the module looks like.

The gas pipe will be at the bottom rear of the fridge so no need to unscrew the coupling union to replace the igniter module. This only needs to be undone if you intend removing the complete fridge from the housing.
