Hi I was hoping that someone on here might help, I have tried Google but there seems to be so many different answers.

We have been given an 1987 Swift Corniche 14/2 and I am in the process of renovating it. One of the taps the Micro switch has gone but it seems to be an old soldered in type. Was wondering if I could switch the switch for another type?

Actually if someone has could they let me know what they have done. I have attached pics

Ray

Hi, from the picture it looks like the leaves of the switch are external to the body? If that's the case can you clean up the contact surfaces with some fine wet and dry? Unless the contact surfaces are badly pitted you should be able to get the switch working again and avoid having to try and find a replacement.

I'm hoping some-one on this site knows more about micro-switches than I do.
I own a 1989 Swift Corniche 12/2 2 berth. Bought it last year from a friend and a caravan service engineer did a safety inspection said he was surprised at how good a condition it is in. This apart, we are experiencing problems with the taps in the kitchen basin and the bathroom. Turn one on in one place and another comes on somewhere else etc. I have been told that it's the micro switches. I have taken a photo of the taps to try to establish make etc. so I can get new switches. Does anyone know what type of switch these use and I would also like to know how to access the switches to replace if possible.
Thank you for any help offered.
