Hi
I have found that a repair to the roof vent in my talbot express has resulted in the roof panel becoming rotten. Not all the panel appears to be affected, just mainly around the siting of the vent.Do i have to replace the entire panel or can i cut out problem area only ?

Hi have you stripped the ceiling board around the vent to see how far the damage extends? Once you've done this and replaced any rotten battens you'll have a better idea of how much ceiling board you need to replace. If you can get a close match to the existing board you might be able to replace a section of the panel. Personally I would be tempted to replace the whole panel unless it's difficult to remove furniture such as lockers, cupboards etc in order to do so. I haven't used them personally but I think that O'leary motorhomes sell a range of wall/ceiling boards.
