HELP PLEASE

I have a 2012 Bessacarr (Swift) 645 and a problem has developed on one of the 12 volt Cigar Lighter type sockets. The the supply to the socket gives 13.5 volts and when the contacts in the socket are tested it is still 13.5 volts. As soon as an appliance is connected the voltage drops to nil and no appliance will operate on it. The other similar 12 volt socket on the same fuse-way works fine as do all the appliances when connected to it.
The defective socket with twin aerial unit has been renewed but with no change to the problem.
Two caravan service engineers have spent time on the problem too but without success.
Any ideas please?

My guess is that somewhere along the line there is a bad connection that fails when any serious current is trying to flow. Probably a dodgy plug/socket or crimp, it's most likely showing signs of overheating.

Thanks Dave. I have the usual problem of course - buried wires behind panels!   I fear you could be right. One bit of additional information - when the TV is on standby the red light flashes but you cannot turn the TV on.

I think the same situation exists, the standing voltage is present but no current behind it to be useful.
Can you get hold of the wiring diagram? They should all be colour coded and with that info you could determine where it goes to behind the panel, 'bell' it out to check that you have the correct one and then run a temporary wire from the cigar socket back to where it does work. That would identify the problem section.
