Hi there! I'm new here and new to caravanning too for that matter! I'm looking forward to finding lots of information from all the wise and experienced caravanners on here!
I have a 1981 Abi Marauder that needs a bit of tlc - the over all condition is good with no leaks etc but the previous owner did a "let's stick fablon on everything" kind of makeover! So I want to make it a bit more user friendly and sympatheticly decorated! Anyway, I was wondering whether it's possible to paint the external bodywork?

I could swear I replied to this post the other week, then the whole thing disappeared!

Can't help with the painting, I'm watching for the same reason, my caravan exterior has also gone chalky and needs repainting.

From what I have read in the past, it seems Halfords can do a colour match and have the right paint for the job. And you will need some primer paint as well, plus probably sandpapering all over before you start.

A paint sprayer might be a good idea, but you would still need to do all the prep beforehand, plus a lot of masking... I need to go and lie down just thinking about that little lot!

We once painted an 25 year old Sprite Alpine by hand with a good quality exterior gloss paint and a brush. We just gave it a really good clean first. It came out well.

I would doubt it as it was a 1960 Sprite.
