Hi everyone

I recently found that my Truma Crystal 2 water inlet housing was cracked and leaking and was pleased to discover that the Filtapac housing has been made as a direct replacement. I bought one it replaced the old one exactly but since installing it the water pressure from the taps has been noticeably lower.

A lot of fault-finding and process of deduction this weekend has narrowed it down to the non-return valve which is part of the inlet housing, where the pipe in the van that goes off to feed all water outlets connects to. If I remove the non return valve, I get water pressure liked I used to. However put it back in and its reduced to a trickle.

I followed the guidance when installing the unit which said to be careful you don't over tighten connections as this can restrict movement of the NRV. It moves in and out on a spring and this seems to operate OK. But it doesn't seem to come out very far when the water is pumping.

So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and any suggestions for a solution? I'm currently considering removing the NRV from the unit and installing an in-line one instead...but it seems like a bit of a drastic solution.

Thanks very much!

Remove the filter you don't need it. Most new vans afaik don't have them.

I've already done that - the non return valve is part of the filter housing that you connect the water pump to, it's not part of the filter itself. Pressure is poor with the filter in, and with it removed.
