Should this be removed when storing over the Winter for 6 month period. Also same question for 2 month period in Summer.

Unless it is being topped up by a solar panel; yes.
We have no SP, and if we are unsure when we will be going out again, I remove the battery, charge it up with our C-Tek charger, and repeat charge it every month.
So far, so good.
A leisure batterey needs to be charged up on a regular basis otherwise it will begin to sulphate which is where the internal lead plates start to crumble and creates a sediment in the base of the battery. Once the sediment makes contact it then short circuits the battery out and rendered useless and a replacement will be required. However, a solar panel will only trickle charge the battery and during winter there are less daylight hours so it's not the best solution to keep the battery charged up. The best solution is to purchase a smart charger that you plug into the mains electricity at home, remove the battery and charge it up that way. The built in digital computer will monitor the charge and stops before reaching the gassing stage so is safe to use 24/7 which is what I do. I got through 2 batteries in 5 years because I was using the wrong charger but now my battery is still good after 6 years by charging up as mentioned above. The charger maybe more expensive in comparison to a standard charger but in the long term if it provides a longer battery life then it makes sense to invest in one.
